Nora Roberts is an old time favorite. This book delivers on all accounts. We get romance, murders, suspence, mystery, some laughs, some sentimental moments and some steamy sex scenes. We get to learn about the risks smoke jumpers face to save our forests. The dangers they encounter every time they jump, their relationship toward each other as they train, live and fight to win against forests fires.
Rowan is our typical independent, strong and beautiful woman. Gull, our charming, intelligent and patient rookie jumper. Last season, Jim, Rowan's jump partner died in a fatal accident. This season, the fires they have to fight and contain include dead bodies. Rowan's father is now also in a relationship which is something foreign for Rowan.
